Pengaruh Komunikasi dan Motivasi terhadap Kinerja Penegakan Hukum Fungsi Lalulintas

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the effect of communication and motivation on the performance of law enforcement by members of the Tanggamus Police Traffic Police Unit. Communication and motivation are factors that play a role in influencing and improving organizational performance. This research uses survey sampling method. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence between communication and motivation variables on the performance of law enforcement by members of the Satamantas Police Station with a moderate level of relationship of 53.7%, while the percentage contribution of communication and motivation variables to the performance of law enforcement by members of the Satamantas Police Tanggamus is 32, 9% and the remaining 67.1% are explained by other variables not yet covered in this research model. The two variables (communication and motivation), both jointly and individually - have a positive effect on the performance of law enforcement by members of the Satamantres Police Station. These empirical findings indicate that to improve the performance of law enforcement by members of the Tanggamus Police Traffic Police Unit, efforts are needed to improve their skills and communication skills and motivate members to improve the performance of law enforcement by all members of the Tanggamus Police Traffic Police Unit. Keywords: Communication, motivation, law enforcement, traffic functions Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh komunikasi dan motivasi terhadap kinerja penegakan hukum oleh anggota Satlantas Polres Tanggamus. Komunikasi dan motivasi merupakan faktor yang berperan dalam mempengaruhi dan meningkatkan kinerja organisasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey sampling. Hasil penelian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara variabel komunikasi dan motivasi terhadap kinerja penegakan hukum oleh anggota Satlantas Polres Tanggamus dengan tingkat hubungan sedang sebesar 53,7%, sedangkan persentase sumbangan variabel komunikasi dan motivasi terhadap kinerja penegakan hukum oleh anggota Satlantas Polres Tanggamus sebesar 32,9% dan sisanya sebesar 67,1% dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang belum dicakup dalam model penelitian ini. Kedua variabel (komunikasi dan motivasi), baik secara bersama – sama maupun sendiri – sendiri berpengaruh positif terhadap kinerja penegakan hukum oleh anggota Satlantas Polres Tanggamus. Temuan empiris ini mengindikasikan bahwa untuk meningkatkan kinerja penegakan hukum oleh anggota Satlantas Polres Tanggamus, maka dibutuhkan upaya dalam meningkatkan keahlian dan keterampilan berkomunikasi serta diperlukan motivasi anggota dalam meningkatkan kinerja penegakan hukum oleh seluruh anggota Satlantas Polres Tanggamus.
