Sinergi Polisi-Masyarakat Dalam Pencegahan Potensi Radikalisme

Abstract

AbstractMeasuring the performance of the police in the formation of modernity is not on how many people can be arrested and then processed, but it lay on their ability to control the reality that produces security disturbances. Especially against the phenomenon of radicalism which is much different from the reality of conventional crime. The potential for radicalism -- as a deviant ideological movement in the community -- is impossible for the police to work alone. The urgency of this research is to see the synergy between the police and the community in controlling radicalism, using a survey method accompanied by focused discussions. As a result, the strength or quality of the synergy between the police and the community rests on the prerequisites for public trust in the police. So far, the community still puts their trust in the police, although aggregativelyit differs in each province.Keywords: Synergy; Radicalism; InteractionalAbstrakMengukur kinerja kepolisian dalam formasi modernitas bukan pada berapa jumlah orang yang bisa ditangkap dan kemudian diproses, tetapi pada seberapa kuat kemampuannya dalam mengendalikan realitas yang memproduksi gangguan keamanan. Apalagi terhadap fenomena radikalisme yang jauh berbeda dengan realitas kejahatan konvensional. Potensi radikalisme -- sebagai gerak ideologi menyimpang ditengah masyarakat -- mustahil polisi bekerja sendiri. Urgensi penelitian ini melihat sinergi polisi dengan masyarakat dalam mengendalikan radikalisme itu, menggunakan metode survey disertai dengan diskusi terfokus. Hasilnya, kekuatan atau kualitas sinergi polisi dengan masyarakat bertumpu pada prasyarat kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap polisi. Sejauh ini masyarakat masih meletakan kepercayaan tehadap polisi, meskipun secara agregatif berbeda disetiap wilayah provinsi.Kata Kunci: Sinergi; Radikalisme; Interaksional
