Peran Polisi Wanita dalam Polmas Berbasis Gender

Abstract

Abstract This paper raises the theme of the role of Indonesian police women (Polwan) in applying the rules of community pemolisian that may be different from other countries. This is related to the culture and regulations in Indonesia that are distinctive, compound and have distinctive problems. To support the analysis, this paper uses the theory of community pemolisian, role theory and gender concept. The theory of community pemolisian in Indonesia so far has not had a special qibla. The role theory is discussed considering the role of Polwan in practicing Polmas sometimes hampered by patriarchal culture. Gender theory discusses bias that is still strong in the police force and has no effect on the way police work and effectiveness in practicing Polmas. Keywords: police women, Polmas, Polri Abstrak Makalah ini mengangkat tema tentang peran polisi wanita (Polwan) Indonesia dalam menerapkan kaidah-kaidah pemolisian masyarakat yang mungkin berbeda dari negara lain. Ini terkait kultur dan peraturan di Indonesia yang khas, majemuk dan memiliki permasalahan yang khas. Untuk mendukung analisis tersebut, makalah ini menggunakan teori pemolisian masyarakat, teori peran dan konsep gender. Teori pemolisian masyarakat di Indonesia sejauh ini belum memiliki kiblat khusus. Teori peran dibahas mengingat peran Polwan dalam mempraktekkan Polmas terkadang terhambat dengan budaya patriarki. Teori gender membahas bias yang masih kuat di kepolisian dan tidak berpengaruh pada cara kerja dan efektivitas polwan dalam mempraktekkan Polmas. Kata Kunci : polisi wanita, polmas, Polri
